What is Visual Stress?

Did you know that there is reportedly a 30% incidence amongst school children of visual stress in recent years?

Visual stress or in some cases Visual Dyslexia or Meares-Irlen Syndrome is light and glare sensitivity, which manifests itself as the experience of unpleasant symptoms related to vision while reading, writing and generally concentrating on any text. It can be managed using aqua coloured overlays and aqua coloured filter lenses. The symptoms include; changes and distortion in shape and colour. These occur especially after long periods of concentration. Visual stress has also been known to cause sore eyes and headaches. The result is slower than expected reading. Sounds familiar?

    I’m reviewing both the frames and the filter here. Both excellent. Frames are stylish, durable with nice springy sides. Filter which is aqua blue works lovely to help my son at school and with homework. All in all, a great product and importantly superb customer service from Amy.
