Did you know that there is reportedly a 30% incidence amongst school children of visual stress in recent years?

Visual stress, Meares-Irlen or Visual Dyslexia or Meares-Irlen Syndrome is light and glare sensitivity. It’s even sometimes referred to in short as Irlens. This manifests itself as the experience of unpleasant symptoms related to vision while reading, writing and generally concentrating on any text. It can be managed using aqua coloured overlays and aqua tinted lenses in some people. The symptoms include; changes and distortion in shape and colour. These occur especially after long periods of concentration. Visual stress has also been known to cause sore eyes and headaches. The result is slower than expected reading. Sounds familiar?

Studies have therefore confirmed that there are many children who have been misdiagnosed with dyslexia or dyspraxia when the issue is actually this type of stress. Causing distorted or blurred words. Therefore, slow reading thought to be due to Dyslexia, may actually be down to Visual Stress.

If your child or pupil is diagnosed with Visual Stress, use a coloured overlay like aqua blue which has been proven to improve reading speeds dramatically and instantly in the majority of cases. Consequently, when it works, the child will see an improvement in their literacy levels. There is no need for long periods of therapy.

The use of aqua blue tinted glasses helps Dyslexics significantly when reading from the interactive whiteboard and computer because they use aqua blue overlays.

We have the double blue tint with these black/blue frames. The tint works great with my son’s schoolwork. His help teacher reports them making a big difference to his academic performance.

Came across this website whilst researching Dyslexia solutions and saw the free trial. I have known about tinted lenses in the past, so thought clear lenses would be a neat idea.
I tried these for my son who has been recently diagnosed with meares-irlen syndrome. They work so well.
      Bought 2 pairs of glasses.
